Lydia Moawad :
 
     
 


Born in 1965, in Byblos, Moawad has become a renowned designer, illustrator and professor. Upon completion of her studies, Moawad took up the post of plastic arts professor at Mission Laïque Française in 1999 and continues to hold that position today.
One of the most prestigious projects Moawad has undertaken was illustrating in UNICEF's children rights book in 2000. Moawad's expertise however covers a much wider range, going off the still canvas into television and broadcasting. Moawad has worked with the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International (LBCI) on a variety of levels, from dressing the crew, to designing break-ins and –outs and even hosting a 200-episode children's Art teaching program "Keef w Leish ".
Among the awards Moawad has been decorated with are:


* Third prize for best comic strips organized by L’orient Le Jour and Air France in 1987
* First prize for best television break in Lebanon “50 years of independence".
